About
I lead the consulting practice at SMP Solutions in Budapest, where I oversee diverse teams working on data warehousing, business intelligence, core system migrations, and AI applications across financial services, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. My focus is on translating complex business challenges into scalable technology solutions that actually work operationally.
Over seventeen years in data and consulting, I've spent most of my career in banking and financial services—from my early work on credit risk systems at Citibank, through building data engineering teams and cloud platforms at Euronet, to founding and growing SMP's Data Management Division. I've learned how to bridge the gap between what regulatory frameworks expect and what organizations can realistically execute.
These essays are a place to think through the problems I encounter: what AI transformation actually requires in a regulated environment, how to make data architecture decisions that survive contact with reality, and the operational discipline required when the stakes are real.
